The BJK Cup is an international women’s team tennis tournament that is played annually. Termed as the Fed Cup between 1995 and 2020, the marquee team competition is organized to honor Billie Jean King as well as women’s tennis. The United States of America is the most successful team in the competition – with 18 championships. Standing proudly as the female equivalent of the iconic Davis Cup, this event is a massive attraction for players and fans.

The Billie Jean King Cup 2025 is set to deliver six days of elite tennis, starting Tuesday, September 16, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, September 21. Fans in the UK can catch the action live on the BBC, while the Tennis Channel will provide full coverage of every match. Billie Jean King Cup 2025 Finals – Tournament Format

Several countries compete in the tournament, and 16 of them qualify for the World Group and World Group II stage every year. Out of the eight teams each in both groups, four countries are seeded – determined by the BJK Cup Committee. At the lower level, teams compete in the Zonal Groups for promotions.

At the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Finals, all ties will comprise three matches – two singles clashes followed by a doubles match. All the matches will be played in a best-of-three tiebreak sets format.
