The Belgian received a bye in Round-1, and will compete in her first encounter since the US Open. In the opening round here at Guadalajara, Elsa Jacquemot brushed aside two-time Grand Slam semifinalist Maria Sakkari 6-2 6-0. Although the 22-year-old rising star from Lyon is yet to win a title on tour, she achieved her career-best performance at three out of the four Grand Slams in 2025. She reached the final of the WTA-125 event in Contrexeville, and also made the Round of 32 at Roland Garros. At last month’s Tennis in the Land tournament, Jacquemot made a run through qualifying to reach the last eight. Her overall win-loss record this year stands at 44-27.
