Shubham Singh

On Tuesday, 06/10, the Atlanta Dream (5-3) will host the Indiana Fever (4-4) in a WNBA regular-season matchup. The Dream are currently in the third place, whereas the Fever have shot up to #7 in the standings.

Can the deep Fever squad take care of business against the formidable Dream as their ace Caitlin Clark is on the cusp of return? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Where to Watch Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever

  • Time: 07:30 PM (ET)
  • Venue: The Gateway Center Arena (Atlanta, Georgia)
  • Where to watch: This game can be viewed on the WNBA League Pass.

Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever Lineups, Sneak Peek

Atlanta Dream: Contenders, or pretenders?

The Dream comes into this game after a shocking 76-84 loss to the struggling Connecticut Sun(2-7) despite an 18-point performance by Britney Griner. They shot 41.2% compared to 50% by the Sun, an aberration considering the difference in talent. The loss broke a four-game winning streak.

The Dream must be disappointed because they have done well against sub-par teams thus far and could have built serious momentum. At any rate, there have been some major positives about the team.

The backcourt duo of Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray has enabled the Atlanta Dream to be the second-best long-range shooting team with 9.6 triples per game.

On the other hand, they have held opponents to league-best 5.9 triples per game. If they continue this trend, the Dream might finish in the top four.

Indiana Fever: Serious depth

The Fever enters the affair after a resounding 79-52 win against the Chicago Sky. Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 17 points as the team shot an impressive 11/27 from deep. It was their second straight win, somewhat erasing the hurt of a 4-game losing streak.

The Fever could have had a 6-2 record because all four losses came by 6 or fewer points, three of them being in a mere 1-2 points range. They are 2-2 without Caitlin Clark and have held the fort well. The good news? The WNBA’s talisman could return in the game against the Dream.

As she returns, CC would play with a much-improved Fever team that has a lot in the tank on both ends.

Fever Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Caitlin Clark | SG: Kelsey Mitchell | SG/SF: Lexie Hull | PF: Natasha Howard | C: Aliyah Boston

Key bench players: SF: DeWanna Bonner, SF: Sophie Cunningham, SF: Damiris Dantas, SG: Sydney Colson.

Injuries/Updates: Caitlin Clark can RETURN after a 4-game absence.

Dream Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Jordin Canada | SG: Allisha Gray | SG/SF: Rhyne Howard | PF/C: Britney Griner | C: Brionna Jones

Key bench players: PF: Nia Coffey, PF: Naz Hillmon, SG: Maya Caldwell.

Injuries/Updates: Nothing significant to report thus far.

Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

The Dream’s lowest score has been 76, whereas they have scored 85+ in four cases. The latter scenario should be more frequent. Atlanta has a loaded backcourt with Gray and Howard, whereas the frontcourt of Griner and Brionna Jones is comprised of two of the best inside scorers.

On the other hand, the Fever usually scores in the late 70s and early 80s. The return of Caitlin Clark can tilt them more towards mid-80s. Defensively, they concede around a similar range.

The series opener between the two went to a high total of 181, whereas the second meeting hit the 157 mark. Overall, I see the score going past 162 here.

Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Rhyne Howard O 18.5 points: Howard has struggled this season, scoring just 17.6 PPG on a sub-par 34.8% shooting. The trigger-happy guard scored 20 or more in the first two meetings against the Fever. So, I expect her to continue that way.

Lexie Hull O 1.5 three-pointers: Hull has been a huge difference-maker this season. She has made 2 threes in each of the last three matches, and I believe she will continue the trend here.

Brionna Jones O 8.5 rebounds: The Dream center collected just 6 rebounds in the last game. It was the third straight game with fewer than 9 rebounds. Jones has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in four games.

Main pick: Points: Rhyne Howard Over 18.5 points at BetMGM

Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever Prediction

The regular-season series is tied, so the stage is set for a riveting affair. The Fever will be on cloud nine if Clark returns. They are yet to lose a game by more than six points, and their last two wins indicate their potential. The Fever have undoubtedly upgraded compared to last season.

On the other hand, this is the best unit Dream has had since drafting Howard. They are a force to reckon with both inside and outside. I back Atlanta to get the job done even if Clark returns.

*Odds will be updated when they are released.
