“We need a bigger dining room” – Aryna Sabalenka Hails Cincinnati Open for Stunning Upgrades, Demands New Dining Room

Aryna Sabalenka made a comeback to the court after a heartbreaking semifinal loss in the Wimbledon championship last month. The world No. 1 went on a trip and missed out two hard-court events before arriving for the Cincinnati Masters. Sabalenka looked happy with the transformation at the Cincinnati Open and made a special demand after winning her second-round matchup.

Aryna Sabalenka couldn’t believe the transformation of Cincinnati Open after comparing to last year

Sabalenka is the defending champions at Cincinnati Open and she won her first match in the North American hard-court swing. The world No. 1 overcame the 2023 Wimbledon champion 7-5 6-1 in her second-round match. First set was a thrilling one and Vondrousova was looking for force the tiebreak but Sabalenka survived. Second set was the one-way traffic and the Belarusian ace conceded just one game in the set.

The three-time Grand Slam champion used her on-court interview to make a special demand and she asked for the bigger dinning room. She remembered last year’s Cincinnati Open where she won the title and then, went on to take the glory at US Open for the first time. She was in disbelief after watching the transformation in Ohio.

“The first time I came back, I was like, ‘Where am I?’ It’s a completely different tournament, it’s an impressive job done. Just wow. Everything is so confusing! Little by little I’m getting used to it,” asked about the changes, Sabalenka replied.

“My only one request, we need to make sure the dining room is a bit bigger. Next year please make sure there’s more space in the dining room. Everyone likes to eat” 😂

“My only request is that next year we make the dining room a bit bigger,” Sabalenka added. “There are so many people and so little tables, please! Next year let’s make sure there’s more space in the dining room. Everyone likes to eat, everyone likes to spend time there. We need a bigger room!“

Aryna Sabalenka will be in action for the high-voltage third-round matchup against Emma Raducanu, who recently faced the Belarusian ace in the Wimbledon. It was a nail-biting clash and the world No. 1 wrapped up in straight sets. However, the British No. 1 pushed Sabalenka into a first-set tiebreak. The 27-year-old has won three titles this year and reached the finals in two out of three Grand Slam events.
