Lando Norris lagged behind his much faster teammate and championship rival, Max Verstappen during the qualifying. Imola is difficult to overtake and Norris will have to work on the opportunities during the race. Fernando Alonso has put his Aston Martin in the top-5 for the race start. His teammate is also in eighth position. Stroll and Alonso were the surprise package during qualifying. They were much faster on mediums than other teams were on soft tyres.
Carlos Sainz and Alx Albon are going to be very happy with their performance. All that is left, is for them to make use of grid position during the race bring in a good points haul for Williams. Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly are the sole top-10 runners from their teams. Gasly has been able to extract tremendous pace from his Alpine during the qualifying session. Isack Hadjar meanwhile did not have a perfect Q3 session. Hadjar will want to make sure his pace for the weekend doesn’t diminish during the race.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
