Bukayo Saka is a vital part of Arsenal’s attack and he has been integral to their Premier League campaign so far.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was forced off during Arsenal’s 4-0 Premier League victory over Ipswich on Sunday. The England international sustained an ankle injury from a high challenge by Leif Davis in the 32nd minute. Notably, the Ipswich defender was sent off following the dangerous challenge.
Saka was substituted early in the second half and was later seen with strapping on his ankle. Speaking after the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gave an update on Bukayo Saka’s ankle injury. Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on April 29.

Manager Mikel Arteta downplayed the injury concerns as he stated that Saka’s injury is “nothing serious” and described the winger as “sore.” He added that the decision to take Saka off was just a precaution.
“He was a bit sore, but it’s nothing serious, so it’s good,” Arteta said.
“I haven’t seen the slow motion, I’ve just seen the normal pace image and yeah, he cuts him from the back.
“I don’t think it’s intentional at all, but it’s dangerous because he cannot really react to anything, because you cannot see him coming.”
Arsenal’s season has been plagued by injuries, with key players like Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus all sidelined for long periods.
🚨 Arteta: “Bukayo Saka is in a bit of pain but thankfully it doesn’t look anything too serious”.
