Clay Court Clash Between Jessica Pegula and Ekaterina Alexandrova at the 2025 Stuttgart Open

The world number 3, Jessica Pegula, will be facing Ekaterina Alexandrova at the 2025 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix (Stuttgart Open) quarterfinals. The American, who received a first round bye, defeated Magdalena Frech in straight sets in the round of 16. Meanwhile Alexandrova, ranked 22nd in the world, is yet to drop a set at the Stuttgart Open and is coming off a stunning straight sets win over Mirra Andreeva.

Alexandrova won her first WTA 500 title at the Linz Open earlier this year. She also reached the semi-finals of the Qatar Ladies Open, defeating world number 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Emma Raducanu and Jessica Pegula along the way. She lost a closely fought 3-set battle to Jessica Pegula in the semi-finals of the Charleston Open.

Pegula, on the other hand, is putting on a good show, surpassing the 2024 French Open champion Coco Gauff and reaching her career-high No. 3 ranking, which she first attained in October 2022.

Jessica Pegula vs. Ekaterina Alexandrova Head-to-Head Record

Pegula and Alexandrova have faced each other 4 times yet in their career. Both of them have a 50% winning percentage in head-to-head records, with both of them winning twice against each other.

Although Alexandrova’s straight-set victories at the Grand Prix cannot be disregarded, Pegula will be into the match with a lot of confidence following her victory at the Charleston Open. However, this season, the Russian also won against Pegula in the 2025 Doha Quarterfinals.
