Positive News on Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins’ Contract Extensions, Reveals NFL Insider!

Recently we saw Tee Higgins get the franchise tag yet again and we were all wondering what was the Bengals’ game plan here because Higgins is one of the best players they have on their squad and taking a lot of time to decide on a player like that, doesn’t make much sense. After all, it is not the Bengals’ offense anyone should be worried about but it’s their defense. The Bengals were ranked 25th in total defense last season and had their defensive unit been able to get timely stops, we may not have seen the Chiefs in the Super Bowl last season.

On the other hand, they have Ja’Marr Chase who achieved a rare “triple crown,” in the 2024 NFL season and is in the final year of his contract. Chase had previously signed a 4-year $30.8 million contract with the Bengals back in June of 2021. Joe Burrow previously made it clear that he wants the Bengals to sign both of these receivers backs and the good news for the Bengals’ fans is that the team wants to sign them both to a long-term contract as soon as possible.

According to a post from Adam Schefter, the Bengals are actively working to get both wide receivers (Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins) a long term deal. The reports also states that in the recent days, progress has been made to sign both the receivers on long term extensions.

Tee Higgins was franchise tagged on March 3rd, 2025 which prevented him from becoming a free agent. A lot of fans, teams, and players like Amon-Ra St. Brown voiced their opinions on how it was unfair for Higgins to get tagged yet again. Hopefully, now that Schefter has claimed that the Bengals are working to get him a long-term contract, we may finally see Higgins get what he deserves.

Ja’Marr Chase Could Be the Highest-Paid-Non-QB in the NFL!

Ja’Marr Chase’s new deal, if and when it gets done, could be worth $40.1 million to $41 million per annum. That will make him the highest paid player that isn’t a quarterback in the NFL, beating the likes of Myles Garrett whose new contract will make him $40 million a year.

Both the receivers will most likely be paid very handsomely when the times comes.
