As of March 10, 2025, the Reds have suffered only one defeat in the Premier League, underscoring their dominance in the league. Liverpool’s Only Loss This Season

The sole blemish on Liverpool’s remarkable Premier League campaign came against Nottingham Forest on 14th October, 2024. Arne Slot experienced his first defeat as a Liverpool manager on that day as his side fell 1-0 to Nottingham Forest. Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo outmaneuvered Slot in a tactical battle as he set up his team to frustrate Liverpool’s attacking play.

Forest executed their game plan perfectly, jamming the midfield and limiting Liverpool’s influence on the wings. Forest substitutes Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi then combined for the latter to score the winner on the counter attack in the 72nd minute, which helped the visitors get three points for their impressive efforts. While the Reds had created a few decent chances in the first half on that day, their lack of clinical finishing ultimately proved costly.

“Our decisions and execution weren’t good enough. In general we defended quite well, but the two fast players came on and made it difficult. We took a lot of risk and in the end it was a very good goal,” Slot said after the match.
