With a tight matchup, will Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers continue their strong start to the season?
After a solid six-game start to the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading into Week 7 facing off against a formidable Baltimore Ravens squad, who are riding a four-game winning streak.
Here is an early view of Buccaneers vs Ravens prediction, picks, and odds.
For this high-stakes game, the Ravens (4-2) are the favorites (-170) after consistently dominating in their past five matchups with Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers (4-2), coming off a strong performance, will need to defy the odds as +3.5 underdogs in this Monday Night Football showdown.
The Buccaneers have displayed impressive offensive firepower, ranking eighth in passing yards per game and excelling with a balanced run game. Baker Mayfield has been an effective leader under center, racking up 1,489 passing yards with 15 touchdowns this season.
Tampa Bay’s wide receiver duo of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans will look to exploit Baltimore’s 32nd-ranked pass defense. Both receivers have been key to the Bucs’ success, combining for 821 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns over six games.
On the flip side, the Ravens, led by Lamar Jackson, are dangerous on the ground, ranking first in the NFL with 205 rushing yards per game. Jackson’s ability to extend plays with his legs adds another layer to the Ravens’ offense, but their weak pass defense could be an opportunity for Tampa Bay.
Defensively, Tampa Bay’s Lavonte David leads the team with 46 tackles and three sacks, while Baltimore’s Roquan Smith anchors their defense with 57 tackles. Moreover, this game could come down to which defense makes the big play, as both teams have struggled at times with pass coverage.
For bets, consider the Buccaneers covering the +3.5 spread, especially with Baker Mayfield’s consistency this season. With both teams capable of putting up points, the over on the 50-point total is another strong play. Expect a high-scoring game with plenty of action on both sides.
