Suns vs Grizzlies: Will Kevin Durant play tonight?

Kevin Durant missed his third straight game as the Phoenix Suns slumped to the Denver Nuggets 122-105 on Feb. 8. Durant was out with a left ankle sprain that he sustained during the 121-119 loss against the Trail Blazers, where he recorded 27 points, five rebounds and five assists.

The Suns will be up against the Memphis Grizzlies in their next game on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Coming on the back of five wins in the last ten games, Phoenix will aim to record a big win over their rivals. But the big question is, will Kevin Durant play against the Grizzlies?

Speaking about the same, the Suns coach Mike Budenholzer shared a positive update, indicating his possible return on Tuesday. Mike spoke ahead of the Nuggets’ clash, and said that it is a short term injury and that the two-day break would help Durant.

“We feel like it’s probably very short term. I think the two days without a game will probably be very helpful.”

In the latest updates, Durant, who became a common name during the trade talks but ended up staying at the Suns, is out of the injury list.

As Phoenix shared their latest injury reports ahead of the Grizzlies game, players including Cody Martin and Bradley Beal have been reported out. On the other hand, Grayson Allen has been listed probable while Vasilije Micic is listed questionable.

Moreover, the 15-time NBA All-Star also spoke about his comeback and said that he is excited to be back on the courts. The two-time NBA Champion shared his health update and said that he “feels good”.

“Looking forward to getting out there tomorrow. Help the team win and get back to doing something I love. It’s terrible when you can’t play… I was frustrated that I was injured and couldn’t play through the [trade rumor] noise… It’s good to get back on the floor,” Durant added.

As per the updated standings, the Suns are currently seated on the 11th spot of the Western Conference standings with a 26-26 record.

Durant, on the other hand, has maintained an excellent average of 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 39 games that he has played for the side this season.
