Ottawa Senators Assign Cole Reinhardt to AHL Affiliate Belleville Senators

Ottawa Senators Send Forward Cole Reinhardt to Belleville for Continued Development

The Ottawa Senators have announced that forward Cole Reinhardt has been loaned to their AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators. With the NHL on pause for the 4 Nations Face-Off, Ottawa doesn’t have another game until February 22nd, making this move an opportunity for Reinhardt to get some much-needed playing time.

Reinhardt has appeared in 16 NHL games this season but has seen limited usage, averaging just 7:58 of ice time per game. Despite the short shifts, the 25-year-old has made an impact physically with 30 hits. However, his offensive contributions have been minimal, recording only one goal and one assist. This is partly due to his defensive role, as 61.9% of his shifts have started in his own zone.

In the AHL, Reinhardt has shown more offensive potential. The Calgary native has been performing at a point-per-game pace this season, with seven goals and ten assists in just 16 games. This is a significant improvement from his 23 points in 56 games last year.

While Reinhardt could be recalled to Ottawa after the break, this stint in Belleville will give him valuable minutes to continue developing his game.

I’ve always loved writing and storytelling, and hockey gives me a perfect stage for endless stories to tell. Whether it’s breaking down a game, analyzing a big trade, or capturing the emotions on the ice, I bring the NHL to life through words. So what’s the best part you ask? Watching the action unfold and turning it into something fans can connect with. To my readers: Hockey is more than just a game—it’s the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that make us jump off our seats. So, keep cheering, keep debating, and never stop loving the madness of the sport!
