Jayden Daniels Injury Update: Rookie QB suffers rib injury in Commanders’ win over Panthers

Daniels has led the Commanders to a 4-2 record this season.

Washington Commanders suffered an early injury blow after rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels left with a rib injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Daniels had gained 50 rushing yards and was 2-for-2 passing for 6 yards before the injury occurred. The team announced at halftime that the 23-year-old would not return for the rest of the game.

It is unclear on exactly which play Daniels sustained his injury, but it occurred on the opening drive for the Commanders’ offense.

The Commanders’ head coach Dan Quinn stated that the medical team will conduct further tests on Daniels on Monday, which will provide more clarity on the severity of the rookie’s injury.

Commanders cruise to 40-7 win over Panthers

Fortunately, Daniels’ absence didn’t make a big impact as Commanders secured a commanding 40-7 win over Panthers at home.
