The winner of the best-of-seven NLCS series will advance to the World Series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers advanced to the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2021 after trouncing the San Diego Padres in Game 5 of the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium on Friday.
Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto lived up to his $325 million price tag as he led his team from the front, giving up two hits and a walk in five innings.
The Dodgers will host the New York Mets at Chavez Ravine on Sunday for NLCS Game 1. The Mets eliminated the Philadelphia Phillies in the Division Series to reach the Championship Series. The winner of the best-of-seven series will advance to the World Series.
