2026 NFL Draft Order Ahead of Week 12 – Which Team Has the No.1 Pick If Season Ends Today?

As per the current records, the Tennessee Titans would hold the number one overall pick for the second year running!

The 2025-26 NFL season still has another 7 weeks of regular-season football left before we move towards the postseason. But, after 11 weeks of football, there is sufficient evidence to suggest how most of the teams are likely to finish this season.

This gives us an opportunity to look at how the 2026 NFL draft order is shaping up. Of course, the final draft order can and will have plenty of changes as the weeks progress, but nonetheless, here is a look at which teams would be drafting where if the season were to end today.

Which Team Holds the Number One Overall Draft Pick for 2026 As of Today?

As things stand, the Tennessee Titans have a 1-9 record, and they are currently in possession of the number one overall pick for the upcoming 2026 NFL draft. The Titans also held the number one overall pick in the 2025 offseason, with which they drafted quarterback Cam Ward, who played his college football for the Miami Hurricanes.

Since the Titans already have their starting quarterback, they will likely look to draft one of the top non-quarterbacks in the draft, irrespective of the position, as they need help all over the roster.

2026 NFL Draft Order If the Season Ended Today

The draft order for all teams that didn’t make the playoffs will be set in reverse order of their overall win-loss record on the season. That means the first 18 spots will be occupied by non-playoff teams.

Following that, picks 19-24 will go to the losers of the Wild Card round in reverse order of their regular-season records. Picks 25-28 will go to the losers of the Divisional round, picks 29 and 30 will go to the losers of the Conference Championship games, and picks 31 and 32 will go to the losers and winners of the Super Bowl, respectively.

It is important to note that some teams have multiple first-round picks, while some teams have none due to trades, and those picks will be reflected accordingly.

So there you have it. If the season had ended today, the Titans would be selecting at the top of the 2026 NFL draft, while the Denver Broncos would hold the final pick of the first round.
