Star forwards like Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland were neck-to-neck in the race till mid-season. However, Salah has gone up ahead in the race given his consistent scoring form this season. 1. Mohamed Salah (1/18)

Mohamed Salah has taken the English Premier League by storm since the start of the season. Delivering some outstanding performances in big games, Salah has reached 27 goals in 29 games for Liverpool in the Premier League leading the race for the Golden Boot. The Egyptian has also scored or assisted in 13 of Liverpool’s 14 games at Anfield this season.

Salah on his emphatic run has also managed to break some records this season. The 32-year-old became the first player to have more than 20 goals and 15 assists in a Premier League season. Moreover, he also reached 30 goal contributions in 18 games which is the fewest by any player in the league history.

2. Erling Haaland (9)

Erling Haaland, who was chasing his third consecutive Golden Boot award in his third Premier League season, is now out of the race after being ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury. Haaland finished this season with 21 goals in 28 Premier League games. Haaland played a crucial role on several occasions, scoring goals against clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham United.

3. Alexander Isak (25)

One of the most improved players this season, Alexander Isak currently has 19 goals in 24 appearances for Newcastle. The Swedish striker has contributed heavily to the club’s prowess scoring big goals against Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United.

Isak was also awarded the Premier League Player of the Month in December 2024. Isak’a consistent goal-scoring and impactful performances have been crucial to Newcastle United this season.

4. Chris Wood (100)

Leading the mythical season Nottingham Forest is having, Chris Wood has scored 18 goals in 28 appearances. Wood has delivered some big game performances like his hat-trick against Brighton & Hove Albion in February. Averaging 0.64 goals per match, Wood also had an approximate shooting accuracy of 58.8%.

Wood was also presented with the Premier League Player of the Month in October 2024. He has also scored more headed goals (six) than any other player in the Premier League this season. The striker has been prolific since the start of 2025 scoring six goals in five appearances.
