On the other hand, the Magic, who posted a tally of 41-41 in the regular season, took down the Atlanta Hawks in the first game of the play-in tournament and punched their playoff ticket. They finished the regular season with the second best defensive rating, trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner led their scoring charts, and while Banchero finished with an average of 25.9 points per game, Wagner had 24.2 points per game.
