The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Indiana Pacers for Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. After an intense battle of survival, the Pacers thoroughly outplayed the Thunder at Indiana, reminding them that the Finals trophy could be in either team’s hand. Both these teams are desperate to win the championship as the Thunder, after moving from Seattle to Oklahoma, have never won a championship, and the Pacers too have never lifted the trophy, marking this Game 7 as a high-stakes battle best the two best teams from the west and the east.
The Oklahoma City Thunder were leading 3-2 in the series, but came out looking tired and unmotivated to play and secure the win at Indiana in Game 6. The Thunder committed 21 turnovers compared to Pacers’ 10, which was the key factor for the Pacers to get the win. The lack of defensive and offense awareness was glaring in the loss against the Pacers. None of the players were able to score above 25 points in Game 6, and the Pacers took full advantage of the situation, jumping up to a huge double digit lead at one point of the game.

With a Game 7 now at the Thunder’s home court, can OKC win just one more game to bring home the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy? We’ll find out soon enough.
The Indiana Pacers survived the elimination game, playing intense defense and scoring on will against the Thunder’s defense. Securing a total of 16-steals compared to the Thunder’s 4, the Pacers played their original style of basketball, running at every fastbreak opportunity, and playing with a lot of pace. Whether it was Pascal Siakam’s thunderous dunk or his pre-game team hurdle eye roll, he has been spectacular so far in the NBA playoffs and has helped the Pacers by being the No.1 scoring option for the team. Obi Toppin’s contribution with an unexpected 20 points, was the biggest reason why the Pacers won the game.
If the Pacers want to win tonight, their role players will need to step up one more time as their guard Tyrese Haliburton is still struggling with a calf strain, that could limit him in Game 7.
