WSG Tirol vs Real Madrid Preview
Madrid have been active in the transfer market, strengthening their squad with the arrivals of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, and Álvaro Carreras, alongside Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono, who joins after his 18th birthday later this month. The absence of Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga through injury means Rodrygo could start in a front three alongside Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior.
WSG Swarovski Tirol, meanwhile, are already in competitive mode. Philipp Semlic’s side began their season in style with an Austrian Cup win and back-to-back Austrian Bundesliga victories, scoring a total of 11 goals in three games. They currently top the league table and will be looking to make a statement against one of the biggest clubs in world football. Midfielder Valentino Müller has been in sensational form, netting five goals in three appearances, and will be a key player to watch for the hosts.
No major injury concerns. Changes are expected due to fixture congestion, but key man Valentino Müller should feature. Tobias Anselm and Moritz Wels, both in good scoring form, are also likely to start.
WSG Swarovski Tirol Predicted XI: Stejskal; Boras, Gugganig, Lawrence; Butler, Taferner, Müller, Bockle; Wels, Anselm, Sabitzer
Jude Bellingham (shoulder) and Eduardo Camavinga (ankle) remain sidelined. Franco Mastantuono is unavailable until his 18th birthday on August 14. New signings Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen, and Carreras are expected to start, with Rodrygo joining Mbappé and Vinícius up front.
Real Madrid Predicted XI: Courtois; Tchouameni, Rüdiger, Huijsen; Alexander-Arnold, Güler, Valverde, Carreras; Rodrygo, Mbappé, Vinícius
WSG Tirol’s sharpness and goal-scoring form should make this a competitive game, especially in the opening stages. However, Real Madrid’s firepower and depth are likely to be decisive over 90 minutes. Expect goals from both sides, but Los Blancos should emerge with a comfortable victory.
Score Prediction: WSG Swarovski Tirol 1-3 Real Madrid
