Elsewhere, there was a hat-trick of assists for Martin Odegaard as Norway maintained their strong start to the World Cup qualifiers. Norway made it two wins from two in Group I with an impressive 4-2 win over Israel.

In the FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers, South Africa beat Benin 2-0 away from home to stay at the top of Group C while Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe at home. Rwanda were also held to a 1-1 draw by Lesotho at home.
