Liberty are close to the playoffs and Mercury have clinched it after Dream's win on Friday.
The race to the 2025 WNBA playoffs heats up as Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty will be in action for the Saturday’s four-game slate. The defending champions are struggling to get healthy roster and it impacted their overall performance. Still, Liberty are in the hunt for the playoff contention, courtesy of their impressive start in the beginning of the season.
New York went 5-5 in their last ten games due to regular injuries but they maintained the grip on the playoff berth. After losing two straight games against the Dream and the Sky, the defending champions secured two back-to-back victories to reach the fifth spot. With a 24-15 record in the regular season, they are just one win away to book their place in the playoffs.

Mercury will aim for the top seeding in the WNBA playoffs and with six more games remaining, they have a golden chance to improve their position. Phoenix are currently on a three-match winning streak.
