The Mercury comes into this game after a 23-point loss (65-88) against the 2024 finalists Minnesota Lynx, who have won eight straight games. Losing to one of the top two teams without your team’s best two-way player, Alyssa Thomas, is understandable.

The Mercury have lost 2 of their last 3 games, and have scored mostly in the 70s. On the other hand, the Valkyries have been one of the least productive offensive teams. They have followed similar scoring trajectories as the Mercury, and now their defense has started to fall apart, too.

At any rate, this game is a candidate for the total going “Under”.
