The Monday Night action features a double-header. Both games can be a one-way street. First, the Connecticut Sun (4-20) will host the Seattle Storm (15-11). Then the Dallas Wings (7-19) will host the New York Liberty (17-7).
We are likely in for two blowouts and at the same time, have a chance to make big in one of the most obvious parlay fields. On that note, here are my parlay picks for the twin affairs on Monday.
The Sun has by far been the worst team this season. However, they had a big surprise up their sleeve on Sunday. The team broke a five-game losing streak through a dominant 95-64 win over the gritty Golden State Valkyries. This win was powered by Tina Charles, who scored 24 points.
On the other hand, the Storm has performed below expectations at times. Their recent 58-69 loss against the Washington Mystics was a reminder of their unfathomable offensive struggles. Seattle is 3-4 over the last seven games, trading wins and losses.
This kind of rhythm suggests they are not extracting the best out of a loaded All-Star lineup.
To bring the point home, Seattle lost 83-93 to the Sun earlier this month. They did win by 14 points in the next game, but it exposed their vulnerabilities. Overall, I see Seattle trading their last loss with a win here and covering the spread as the Sun will be on a back-to-back.
Spread: Storm -11.5 for -110 at BetMGM
Here is an overview of the selections:
| Pick | BetMGM Odds |
| Spread: Storm -11.5 | -110 |
| Spread: Liberty -7.5 | -115 |
The Wings have continued to lose a ton of games. They had a robust 5-2 period in late June and early July. Since then, they have lost six of the last seven games. Having the league’s worst defense doesn’t help. They have lost all five games without All-Star rookie Paige Bueckers.
Arike Ogunbowale hasn’t been the answer again, and Dallas may need to make some moves to have a better future.
On the other hand, the Liberty is synonymous with winning. They lost 99-101 against the LA Sparks, but it was a back-to-back against one of the three hottest teams. They have a five-game winning streak before that.
NY opened the season with a 9-0 run but lost Jonquel Jones and went on a 3-6 run. At any rate, Jones is back, and so is the Liberty.
This is the first time these two will meet. Liberty will be without Breanna Stewart, but the duo of Jones and Sabrina Ionescu can fend the Wings off. Dallas will probably get their rookie All-Star Paige Bueckers back for this game.
At any rate, I expect NY to cover the spread despite not having an MVP candidate, Breanna Stewart.
Spread: Liberty -7.5 for -115 at BetMGM

The parlay selection looks safe overall. The Storm can punch down the Sun, playing a back-to-back. Meanwhile, the Wings’ defense can allow the short-handed Liberty to have some respite.
They also make sense as individual bets, and I would term this parlay selection as “Not risky” (No bets are safe, but still).

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
