Will Stephen Curry play tonight against Rockets? Latest injury update on Warriors’ star

Swati Bhatia

The Warriors head into tonight's game looking to snap a five-game losing streak.

The Golden State Warriors’ struggles continue as they prepare to face the red-hot Houston Rockets tonight. With their late slip against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, the Warriors, who are mired in a five-game losing streak, have slipped to seventh in the Western Conference standings with a 12-8 record.

Amid their struggles, the Warriors face a double setback as head coach Steve Kerr will have to navigate tonight’s game against the Rockets without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, both sidelined due to injuries.

Curry, sidelined for what the team describes as “bilateral knee injury management,” will miss his second game in four days. The star guard first sat out during the Warriors’ Nov. 27 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder due to pain in both knees.

Despite struggling with a knee injury, the Warriors’ veteran has been putting up numbers to keep the Warriors in the hunt while the offense has been running out of ideas.

In their loss to the Nuggets, Curry contributed with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Meanwhile, Green will miss his second consecutive game because of left calf tightness.

Houston, on the other hand, has been firing on all cylinders, sitting comfortably in second spot in Western Conference standings with a 15-7 record. However, the Rockets also have some injury concerns going into the crucial game, as Tari Eason remains in concussion protocol and Fred VanVleet is questionable with a right knee contusion.
