LeBron James made a comeback after a horror show in Minneapolis, but still, the Lakers fell to one of their biggest losses against the Miami Heat. His slump appears to be over, with an improved 29-point performance in Florida. However, Miami Heat handed 134-93 defeat to Lakers on Wednesday night.
Tyler Herro led Miami with 31 points, including 9-of-16 from three, and Jimmy Butler added 17 points, nine boards and five assists. Miami had a 17-point lead at the half break and they paced the game against the Lakers’ embarrassing defensive possession.
The Lakers managed only 41 points in the second half and didn’t score more than 26 points in any quarter. This is one of the rarest occasions when the Lakers failed to cross 30 points in any quarter of the game. Tyler Herro hit nine threes, and the Heat shot over 58% from the field.
Los Angeles also conceded a season-high 134 points in Florida and suffered one of the biggest defeats in franchise history. The Lakers now lost six of their last eight games and dropped to 12-10.

LeBron started the game with a layup off a pass from Dalton Knecht and added 10 points in the first quarter. The 4-time MVP scored eight more points but the Lakers trailed 69-52 after the end of the opening half. The veteran star added nine points and four assists in the third quarter followed by four points in the final stanza.
James ended the streak of straight misses from behind the arc with a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter. With this, he also passed Kyle Korver on the all-time threes list and took the seventh spot. LeBron James left the court with 8:44 remaining in the game.
Anthony Davis was again off the colours for the Lakers, scoring a season-low eight points on 3-of-14 shooting from the field. Rui Hachimura was the second-highest scorer for the Lakers with 14 points.
