Will Caitlin Clark lace up for game against the Sparks? Read to find out.
The Indiana Fever will host the Los Angeles Sparks in another anticipated game of the 2025 WNBA season on Saturday, July 5. Indiana will head into the game on the back of a solid 81-54 win over the Las Vegas Aces. They are on a three-game winning streak, and would aim to continue the momentum. On the other hand, the Sparks went down against the New York Liberty in their most-recent match up, marking their second consecutive defeat. The Sparks are 5-13 in the ongoing season, and in dire need of a victory to get going.
The Fever have been without their icon Caitlin Clark for four consecutive games. Clark has been out of action since June 24, when she scored a season-low six points in a win over the Seattle Storm. The 23-year-old took an awkward fall, and before the next game it was announced that she would be out with a groin injury. Since then, she has missed four games straight. In those four games, the Fever suffered one loss and recorded three victories.
After a left quad injury compelled Clark to miss five games straight, a groin injury has been keeping her out who is in her sophomore season in the WNBA. While she was expecting her second season to be a blockbuster, things are not going in her favor. Ahead of the clash against the Sparks, the Fever shared an injury report, which stated Clark out of action. It means that the 2024 Rookie of the Year will be out of her fifth straight game, and ninth overall game of the season.

However, Fever reporter Tony East shared the star player has been participating in the workout regimen since her injury. East talked to Stephanie White who said, “We went through semi-live shooting drills. It wasn’t really live … she still hasn’t gone full speed in a practice live defensive group. She has been getting some 3-on-3 work on her own.”

She added, “I prioritize her long-term health and wellness, and making sure that when she comes back she is 100 percent.” Notably, Clark is currently averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game through the 2025 regular season.
