Will Bucks play Heat on Thursday? Latest update on Bucks vs Heat game status amid snowstorm

Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of not playing second straight game due to winter storm. Their upcoming home game against Miami Heat on Thursday is in jeopardy. The heavy snowstorm already forced NBA to postpone Pelicans-Bucks game on Wednesday night.

The winter storm dumped 10-to-12 inches of snow in South Louisiana. Both teams are still in New Orleans. Milwaukee Bucks are yet to take a flight for home game which is scheduled to play on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. ET.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are in the same situation but they will get one extra day to reach Memphis for the next game.

Winter storm in New Orleans have shattered all previous records. Schools and businesses throughout the area remained closed on Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, New Orleans had a total of 10 inches of snow and this is biggest snowstorm since 1895.

As per reports, there is no update on postponing the Bucks-Miami game but it might be delayed. Milwaukee players and team staff were having trouble getting out of New Orleans on Wednesday. Louis Armstrong International Airport also canceled all takeoffs.

The record snowfall has impacted South Louisiana and roads are blocked in the city. Here are the highest snow totals from around New Orleans:

New Orleans – 10 inches
Kenner – 8 inches
Metairie – 9 inches
Chalmette 11.5 inches
Gretna – 9.8 inches

The league has not announced when the Pelicans-Bucks game will be played. However, we might expect a delayed game in Milwaukee on Thursday night. The Bucks are on a four-game winning streak and Miami Heat are struggling amid Jimmy Butler trade saga.
