Another glory for the New York Knicks!

The 2026 Kia Shooting Stars held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, as a part of the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend displayed the high-energy shooting prowess of the league’s stars. The contest returned to the All-Star festivities after a ten-year hiatus and featured four teams, consisting of two current players and a retired legend. The exciting event saw Team Knicks dishing out Team Cameron 47-38 in the finals to record a win.

Notably, Team Knicks consisted of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Allan Houston. On the other hand, Cameron team had former Duke stars Jalen Johnson, Kon Knueppel and Corey Maggette. The contest was divided in two rounds, and was a test of team chemistry. Notably, each squad got 70 seconds to score as many points as possible. They were required to shoot one shot at a time from seven different designated spots on the floor. Each designated point had a value. In the end, the two teams that had the most points advanced to the finale.

In Saturday’s case, Team Knicks and Team Cameron advanced ahead with 31 and 24 points, respectively. However, Team All-Star and Team Harper got knocked out with 16 and 18 points, respectively. In the finale, Maggette went 3-for-3 on long range four-point shots. They put up 38 points and gave a tough fight to Team Knicks. In return, Houston’s team drained five 4-point shots to finish with a final score of 47 points.

This marked Houston’s second Shooting Stars title as he won it earlier in 2012 when he teamed up with Landry Fields and Cappie Pondexter.

After the win, Brunson talked about how the game has become more international. “This was cool and the game’s become more and more international,” the Knicks’ superstar said. “Basketball is a universal language. Winning’s always fun, not just beating a team from Duke.”
