Several other NBA players will be unable to participate in the tournament due to their national team's failure to qualify.

With the NBA still in its offseason, some of the biggest basketball stars will take advantage of the “vacation” to defend their national teams at EuroBasket 2025. On the other hand, although stars like Luka Doncic (Slovenia), Nikola Jokic (Serbia) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) have already been confirmed for the tournament, other important names in the league will be missing from their teams due to physical problems.

Updated List of NBA Players Who Opted Out from EuroBasket 2025!

A silver medalist at the 2024 Olympics and one of the favorites for the European title, France is likely one of the teams most affected by the absence of NBA players. Centers Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, both already nominated for the All-Star Game, will not be available for Les Bleus.

Other major teams also suffered significant losses. Lithuania will be without Domantas Sabonis and young talent Matas Buzelis, while Germany will be without Mo Wagner and Isaiah Hartenstein.

In addition to these cases, NBA players who could have bolstered other national teams also decided not to participate in the tournament. Among them are Donte DiVincenzo (Italy) and OG Anunoby (Great Britain).

In addition to the absences due to physical issues, several other NBA players will be unable to participate in the tournament due to their national team’s failure to qualify. In this scenario, players like Jakob Poeltl (Austria), Dario Saric and Ivica Zubac (Croatia), and Clint Capela (Switzerland) will miss out.
