Bronny James has featured in both of Lakers' preseason games, while LeBron James featured in the second game against Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
The Los Angeles Lakers have made a disappointing start to their 2024 NBA preseason. After facing a stinging loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves (107-124), the 17-time NBA champs suffered a shocking drubbing at the hands of the Phoenix Suns (114-118) on Sunday.
While LeBron James didn’t participate in the Lakers’ opening preseason game, he did make an appearance and played alongside his son Bronny James for the Suns clash. Set for his 22nd NBA season, the 39-year-old finished the game with 19 points. Meanwhile, rookie Bronny had another rough outing, managing just two rebounds and conceding four turnovers while failing to score a point.
However, rookie Dalton Knecht’s performance in the first two games has been a positive takeaway for coach JJ Redick.
Knecht dropped 16 points and added three rebounds and two assists during the Lakers’ 124-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had another solid performance in the second game, logging 16 points while shooting 7-of-13 from the field against the Suns.
Both LeBron James and Bronny James are likely to feature in Lakers’ next preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Here’s the Lakers’ game schedule, including the time, television channel, and streaming information for the game.
