What Draft Picks Do the Miami Dolphins Have in 2025? All Miami Dolphins 2025 NFL Draft Picks per Round

The Dolphins need to address their O-line woes in this draft!

Since Mike McDaniel took over the head coaching duties in 2022, he has led the Dolphins to second place in the AFC East in all three seasons behind the Buffalo Bills. However, last season, in spite of finishing second, the Dolphins’ 8-9 record was nowhere good enough to make the postseason.

What hurt the Dolphins last season was their lack of quality up front on the offensive line. Even though the line didn’t give up the most sacks and still did a decent job protecting Tua Tagovailoa, they were highly ineffective in the run game. A lack of a good run game meant the Dolphins had to quickly get the ball out of Tagovailoa’s hands and there was not enough time for plays to develop despite having two of the fastest receivers in the league in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Furthermore, Miami also had to deal with a high number of injuries which derailed their season. Currently, with the exception of the Bills, the AFC East is not as tough of a division as some of the others. If the Dolphins can sort out their offensive line woes then we could see the high-flying offense that we saw in 2022 and 2023 come back to life.

What Are the Dolphins’ Draft Picks in 2025?

The Miami Dolphins have a boatload of draft picks in the 2025 NFL draft. From the seven rounds, the Dolphins have a total of 10 picks with their first-round draft pick being the number 13 overall. Miami will be selecting in every round apart from round 6 with multiple selections in rounds 4,5 and 7.

Positional Needs for the Dolphins

First and foremost the Dolphins need to find solutions on the offensive line now more than ever with offensive tackle Terron Armstead announcing his retirement in the first week of April. There is a good chance that Miami drafts someone on the O-line in the first couple of rounds which is the only way they can start building up a run game.

The cornerback is yet another area that lacks quality. While Jalen Ramsey is capable of locking down one side, he needs another player to elevate their game, or the Dolphins need to find a top-quality corner in the draft. In addition to cornerback, the Dolphins could use some added depth at safety as well in a bid to improve the overall secondary.

Most of the other spots on the roster seem to be well filled but depth is a concern at many positions. Perhaps the best way for Miami to proceed in this draft is to select O-linemen in the first couple of rounds followed by secondary depth and finally depth at other positions as per requirement.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
