Thursday Night Football in week 6 features the 4-1 Eagles against the 1-4 Giants!
With week 6 of the 2025-26 NFL season beginning on Thursday Night, we are nearly through with one-third of the regular season. It feels just like yesterday that we saw the Eagles and the Cowboys face off in the opening game of the season.
There is, however, plenty of action slated to take place this week, and it all starts with Thursday Night Football (TNF). So, here are all the details you need to know before tuning in to the action.
Thursday Night Football in week 6 features the long-standing rivalry between two NFC East teams as the Philadelphia Eagles head over to New York to take on the Giants. In reality, this should be a lopsided affair as the 4-1 Eagles are up against the 1-4 Giants. However, being a divisional matchup, anything is possible.
Philadelphia’s strong start to the season finally met its end last week when they lost to the Denver Broncos after a fourth-quarter collapse on both sides of the ball. The Giants have been struggling for the most part this season, with the exception of their week 4 win over the Chargers.
Being divisional rivals in the NFC East, the Eagles and the Giants have met a total of 186 times. The Eagles lead the all-time head-to-head by a margin of 96–89–2, and the regular season record also stands in favor of Philadelphia at 93–87–2.
The five postseason matchups are 3-2 in favor of the Eagles. The last time these two teams met was on January 5, 2025. Philadelphia won that game 20-13 despite most of the backups playing in the week 18 matchup that had no bearing on the postseason.
The Thursday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants is scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m. ET tonight. The game will take place in the Giants’ home stadium at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The week 6 TNF game between the Eagles and the Giants will be telecast nationally by Amazon Prime Video, which holds the rights to the TNF package. Local viewers in Philadelphia can also watch the game on FOX 29, whereas local viewers in New York can watch it on FOX 5. Out-of-market streaming is available on NFL+.
The Eagles are the heavy favorites heading into this matchup and rightly so. They have the overall superior roster, with better offensive and defensive talent. As the defending champions, they also carry the winner’s mentality and will be looking to put last week’s loss behind them as soon as possible.
Not only has New York been struggling, but they have also lost their biggest weapon on offense in the form of Malik Nabers, who will miss the rest of the season due to an ACL tear.
