WATCH: Cooper Flagg heads to locker room after suffering an ankle injury vs Georgia Tech

Duke faces a major injury scare ahead of the 2025 March Madness tournament.

The number two ranked college basketball team in nation faces a major injury scare before the 2025 March Madness. The Duke Blue Devils star, Cooper Flagg injured his ankle coming down after grabbing a defensive rebound in the ACC quarter-finals clash.

The incident happened in the first-quarter of the ACC quarter-final matchup against Georgia Tech with 2:49 remaining in the clock. Duke was down 26-17 after a slow start. After the incident, Flagg stood up hobbling and walked to the bench. However, after multiple attempts to walk on his own, Flagg needed help from his teammates to walk to the locker room.

Flagg left the game with two points, four rebounds, two steals and one block to his name. The star struggled to get into rhythm, shooting 1/7 from the field, also going 0/3 from the three-point line in the process.

All eyes are on Flagg’s ankle tests. The star led Duke to most wins ever in their conference history and was named the ACC Player of the Year. He became the fourth ACC freshman to win the title. With a injury scare right ahead of the March Madness, Duke’s hopes of winning the NCAA tournament rely majorly on Flagg’s ankle test.
