Giannis recorded 35 points, 14 rebounds and six assists while Paul had 12 points and nine assists for the winners.
The San Antonio Spurs recorded a big 144-118 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Jan. 31. The game saw Victor Wembanyama scoring 30 points with 14 rebounds and one assist to guide the side to a comeback victory after 128-116 defeat against the Clippers.
However, it was not only Wembanyama’s performance that kept fans hooked to the game. Things took a heated turn when Giannis Antetokounmpo and Chris Paul engaged in a heated exchange. Notably, Giannis recorded 35 points, 14 rebounds and six assists while Paul had 12 points and nine assists for the winners.
With 3:46 remaining during the fourth quarter with the Bucks trailing 131-111, Antetokounmpo was moving towards the basket making his way through the Spurs’ defense. However, it was then Paul seemingly pushed Giannis who went down to the ground and immediately started shouting and gesturing towards Paul.

Before things could get more intense, players and coaching staff intervened and calmed both the players down with the 39-year-old being called for a common foul. However, things didn’t end here, Paul was also seen mocking the Bucks icon when he missed a free shot. The two continued to exchange words even after the game ended.

Reacting to the incident, he said, “People that know me, they don’t try me.” “If you try me, it’s a different side. If you try me, you’re gonna get that different side of me,” the 30-year-old added.
“At the end of the day, I think we’re all men. We all respect one another,” he continued. “If words cross the line, then there’s got to be consequences. I really don’t say much. I don’t say much to start with, try to play the game the right way.”
“But enough is enough. If I feel like you’re putting my livelihood, my career and my body in jeopardy in danger, enough is enough, brother. I have a family to feed, and what makes you laugh can also make you cry sometimes,” Giannis concluded.
