Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans are also battling a few injuries early in the season. Star guard Dejounte Murray is out for 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery on a fractured left hand. Forward Trey Murphy III is also sidelined with a right hamstring strain and is expected to miss at least two more weeks.
These injuries are a major blow to the Pelicans, who were hoping to make a deep playoff run this season. With Murray and Murphy out, the team will have to rely on their depth to fill the void.
