Vinicius Jr. Could Snub Saudi Arabia To Sign A New Contract With Real Madrid?

Vinicius Jr. has been linked in and around the club of Real Madrid over this season. Some are speculating about his exit following Kylian Mbappe’s arrival while others are linking him to Saudi Arabia for a big-money move.

Denying all these speculations, famous journalist Fabrizio Romano has dropped big hints on Vinicius Jr’s future. Reporting that the Brazilian is set to sign a new long-term deal with the Los Blancos, Romano confirmed Vinicius Jr. will stay at the Spanish capital following this season.

Sharing the report over a social media post, Romano quotes: “Vini always wanted to stay at Real Madrid.” Continuing on the specifics of the deal, Romano said:

“Vinicius Jr is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Real Madrid over a new deal for the next five years. Deal almost done as La Ser reported, waiting to clarify whether gonna be valid until 2030 or 2029 with the option to extend.”

Giving credit to La Ser, Romano explained that Vinicius has turned down all the offers from Saudi Arabia to extend his contract at Real Madrid. Adding more insights to the details, Romano continued:

“No date has been fixed yet to get the new agreement signed, waiting on the final details to be sealed. Initial verbal agreement in place, length of the deal under discussion — 2029 with an option to extend or 2030. No formal steps yet.”

It is also being mentioned that his contract will have an option to extend. The new Vinicius Jr. Deal could make him equal to Mbappe’s current pay.

Vinicius Jr.’s current contract expires in June 2027 as per Capology. Receiving around £344,330 in base salary per week, the 24-year-old is currently the second highest-paid player on the team. With his extensions promising to match the Frenchman’s pay, Vinicius Jr. could also surpass him in the new extension.

The Brazilian winger has been Real Madrid’s main attacking threat ever since the departure of Karim Benzema. Taking over the responsibility, Vinicius Jr. has evolved a huge deal over the past few seasons. Moreover, after missing out on the Ballon d’Or (2024) on thin margins, Vinicius Jr. has proved himself on the biggest stages as well.

Should Real Madrid achieve the accomplishment of securing Vini’s future at the club, the attacking future of the club will almost be built. With all the players on long term deals and some new recruitments, the Los Blancos have a new Galacticos in forming next season.
