Dodgers are leading the World Series 1-0.
Freddie Freeman continues his MLB World Series heroics! Just 24 hours after delivering a walk-off grand slam to win Game 1 for the Dodgers, Freeman launched another home run in Game 2, extending the Dodgers’ lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
Freeman’s clutch performance comes after a dry spell that saw him homerless in 41 days leading up to the World Series. However, he has completely flipped the script on the biggest stage, becoming an offensive force for the Dodgers.
His solo shot off Yankees’ starter Carlos Rodon traveled deep into the left-field bleachers, extending the hosts’ lead to 4-1 at the end of the third inning.
Tommy Edman opened the scoring for the Dodgers with a solo homer in the bottom of the second. Teoscar Hernández then slapped a go-ahead two-run homer in the third inning followed by Freddie Freeman’s home run as the hosts continued teeing off on Rodon.
