Then there were eight! The quarterfinals of the US Open 2025 are here, and there is no shortage of enthralling action for the fans in New York. With some massive upsets and expected progressions taking place in the Round of 16, Tuesday and Wednesday presents the perfect platform for the elite to announce themselves. The likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Naomi Osaka, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are set to feature.

Over the past few days, 2023 champion Coco Gauff and former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina were shown the exit doors. Naomi Osaka and Marketa Vondrousova emerged as surprise winners against them, and will advance to face stiff opposition in the QFs. On the men’s side, all the projected winners made it through – barring 15th seed Andrey Rublev – who was ousted by in-form Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
