Tyrese Haliburton Injury Update- Pacers’ Star Shares Positive Update on Achilles Injury Recovery

Garima Ranawat

Haliburton suffered an Achilles injury in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

Indiana Pacers’ star Tyrese Haliburton shared a positive update on his Achilles injury he sustained in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Haliburton was in Indianapolis, hosting his fourth camp, which he has been doing every offseason since his trade to the Pacers. The camp was earlier scheduled for June 28 and June 28, but the Pacers made it to the Finals and Haliburton suffered a torn right Achilles on June 22.

However, as the two-time NBA All-Star was present at the Pacers Athletic Center, he addressed a lot of issues. The Pacers President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard shared an update on Haliburton last month that he would miss the entire 2025-26 season. Speaking for the first time in Indianapolis, the former Kings shared a positive update on his Achilles injury recovery.

He continued, “About eight weeks. I’m walking out of my boot, getting closer to walking full-time in my shoe. So that’s exciting for me.” He added, “Every couple of weeks it’s kind of like a new benchmark, a new achievement for me. Just being able to walk, it’s like the small wins right now. Taking it a day at a time. I have good days and bad days, but yeah, things are going well. Every day is Groundhog Day.”

Haliburton continued, “It feels like it’s the same treatment, the same stuff every day. But I’m falling in love with the grind of that and just trying to get as well as I can, as fast as I can.”

When Will Tyrese Haliburton Return?

There is no specific timeline set for Haliburton’s recovery and he would miss the entire 2025-26 season. Due to his injury, the Pacers received a Disabled Player Exception, which would allow them to bring in a player as a stand-in for their out-of-commission player. It is not an additional roster spot, and the Pacers can acquire him in any way.

Talking about his return, the 25-year-old has made it clear that he is in no rush, and hopes to be back with 100% recovery and nothing less. The Pacers, who have had a historic campaign the past season, would have a difficult time finding success without their star guard. Haliburton is one name who has established himself as one of the better players in the NBA in recent years. In the past season, he recorded an average of 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game.

However, the Pacers wouldn’t want to give up without Haliburton and would do anything to have a remarkable campaign.
