Ducks' Right Wing Shines with 4 Goals, Leading Anaheim to 3 Wins
Anaheim Ducks right winger Troy Terry has been named the NHL’s Second Star for the week ending January 5, following an impressive performance that helped his team secure three victories. Terry, who is 27 years old, was one of the week’s top goal scorers in the league, tallying four goals and six points over four games.
Terry’s standout moment came on January 2 when he recorded a season-high three points, scoring two goals and assisting on one, including his fifth career overtime goal in a thrilling 4-3 win over Winnipeg.
Earlier in the week, he netted a goal in a 3-2 victory over New Jersey on December 31. The week ended with another multi-point performance on January 5, where he contributed a goal and an assist, including his fourth game-opening goal of the season, in a 4-1 win over Tampa Bay.

This consistent scoring has kept Terry at the top of the Ducks’ roster. With 33 points (14 goals and 19 assists) in 39 games, Terry leads the team in points, goals, assists, and power-play goals (4) this season. Drafted by Anaheim in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft (148th overall), Terry’s recent form demonstrates his continued importance to the Ducks’ success.
