Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid has been the story on the trends for a while. After the rumours of Los Blancos’ first bidding being rejected in the last 2024, they have continued the pursuit of the English right-back.

The first proposal is now said to be serving the purpose of laying the groundwork. With the information coming from Romano, Carlo Ancelotti could be closer than it appears to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In the most recent events, Famous journalist Fabrizio Romano has posted a video stating that Real Madrid has sent a counter-proposal at Alexander-Arnold’s camp. Addressing the terms they might agree on, the journalist said:

“Real Madrid and Trent Alexander-Arnold deal is very close, and HERE WE GO is expected very soon,” said Romano in his style. “Real Madrid has sent their counter proposal to Alexandre Arnold’s camp and the agreement is close”

“Both the parties will inform Liverpool at the right time as Alexander-Arnold will join as a free agent.”

The 26-year-old seasoned fullback has always been Real Madrid’s top priority. With the Englishman expected to replace Dani Carvajal at the Bernabeu, it is like the last piece of the puzzle to Madrid’s new Galacticos.

Liverpool who has failed to present Alexander-Arnold with a deal will see his contract expire in June 2025. With the player joining as a free agent, Alexander-Arnold can expect a huge bonus in his Real Madrid deal.

The fullback wil also join his English teammate Jude Bellingham at the Spanish Capital. Should he join, Alexander-Arnold will only be the third player to play for Real Madrid since 2003 after David Beckham and Bellingham.

Alexander-Arnold has 26 games for Arne Slot and Liverpool this season. With the Reds 12 points clear as of March, their academy graduate could be in for a perfect farewell at the end of the season.
