Toronto Raptors vs Orlando Magic Preview

The Raptors want a high pick in the 2025 Draft

The Raptors enter the match-up after an 18-point loss against the Milwaukee Bucks despite a 21-point, 10-assist performance by RJ Barrett. The win broke an unexpected two-game winning streak but the team has lost 17 out of their last 20 games. They do have a strong duo in RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes but the lack of depth at multiple positions has hurt them on both ends. At any rate, the Raptors fans wouldn’t mind this poor record because it elevates a chance of landing a high pick in the upcoming draft.

The Magic have lost their way

The Magic come into this contest after a 13-point loss against the Denver Nuggets despite a terrific all-around performance by Wendell Carter Jr. Their losing streak has now extended to 3 and they have lost five out of the last six games. Such a lean period was due to the team grappling with numerous injuries, espescially to its three crucial players, Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs. While Banchero has returned, Wagner and Suggs remain out. Fortunately, Suggs is on course to return either against the Raptors or in the next game.

Toronto Raptors vs Orlando Magic– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The Magic struggle against teams at the top of the rankings but they have no problem fending off much weaker teams. They defeated the Raptors by nine-point earlier this month and will want to repeat it after undergoing a sub-par period. One big headache for them has been scoring and they haven’t gone past the 110 points mark for a month now. However, expect them to break the rut here. If not, they will at least go past 107 points and restrict Raptors to below 100. Paolo Banchero may breach the 25-point mark here.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
