TOP 2025 NBA Draft Prospects featuring in March Madness This Year

After the NCAA committee released the bracket, some young stars didn’t make the cut to play in the March Madness. A cut throat competition saw Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper of Rutgers miss out on the March Madness tournament.

On the other hand, some of the best college basketball players with great basketball programs are fighting to win the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Let’s look at some of the TOP 2025 NBA Draft prospects that are featuring in this year’s March Madness.

1. Cooper Flagg – Duke, PF

The 6’9 Duke forward, Cooper Flagg was named the ACC Player of the Year, becoming only the fourth freshman in history to win the award. He averaged 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in the regular season. However, an injury scare in the ACC quarter-finals ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament. Although, Flagg may feature in the March Madness.

2. VJ Edgecombe – Baylor, SG/SF

The Big 12 Freshman of the Year, VJ Edgecombe averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He was also named on the All-Big 12 second team. The guard ranked first in points, third in rebounds and third in assists per game among the freshman in Big 12.

3. Tre Johnson – Texas, SG

A solid 19.8 points per game in his freshman season, Tre Johnson was named the Freshman of the Year. He led the SEC conference in scoring and was also named in the All-SEC second team. With Texas playing in the First Four against Xavier, Johnson might be the one to watch out for.

4. Derik Queen – Maryland, PF/C

The Big 10 freshman of the year, Derik Queen averaged 16.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. He made the Big 10 first team and the Big 10 Freshman team. The Maryland’ center played one of the best games of his career against Michigan in the Big 10 finals. He recorded 31 points, three rebounds and two blocks. However, the Terrapins ended up losing 81-80 in the Final.

5. Khaman Maluach – Duke, C

The 7’2 Duke center, Khaman Maluach played crucial role in Duke winning the ACC Tournament. He recorded 13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks on 75% shooting from the field in the semi-finals against UNC. In the ACC Finals, Maluach recorded eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks against Louisville. A 7’2 center alongside Flagg and Knueppel will cause problems in the March Madness.

6. Kasparas Jakucionis – Illinois, PG,SG

The Illinois guard, Kasparas Jakucionis averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists, led the team in points and assists per game. The 18-year old guard also recorded a double-double in quarter-finals loss against the Terrapins.

7. Jeremiah Fears – Oklahoma, PG

The Oklahoma Sooners point guard, Fears led the team in points and assists per game in his freshman year. He averaged 17.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Playing in the toughest conference, Fears stood on his own and became the first Sooners guard with 15/4/4 as freshman in a single season.
