The Robertson Brothers Were on Fire This Sunday

The Robertson brothers were in top form last night, combining for a total of five goals.

On Sunday, Jason Robertson recorded a hat trick against the New York Islanders, leading the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory. Meanwhile, his brother, Nicholas Robertson, netted a brace for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jason Robertson’s performance was historic, as he became the first player since Jamie Benn in 2018 to score three goals in a single period.

Sam Steel also found the back of the net for Dallas in their 4-3 win. The Stars remain in second place in the Central Division with a 37-18-2 record.

Nicholas Robertson Propels the Maple Leafs Past Chicago

Nicholas Robertson made his mark in the second period for the Maple Leafs. With the Blackhawks leading, Robertson capitalized on a power play opportunity, scoring off a Max Domi assist to tie the game.

Later in the period, Robertson gave the Leafs some breathing room with his second goal of the night, once again assisted by Max Domi. However, Chicago quickly responded, as Philipp Kurashev scored with just seven seconds left in the period.

Toronto sealed the 5-2 victory with additional goals from Jake McCabe, Chris Tanev, and Pontus Holmberg, who scored an empty-netter.

With this win, the Maple Leafs reclaim the top spot in the Atlantic Division and extend their winning streak to two games.
