“That Was a Crazy Game” – Aaron Gordon Shares Thoughts After Epic Buzzer-Beater Rescues Nuggets

Aaron Gordon had one of the best clutch moments of the season so far. His buzzer beater winner has revived the chances of Denver Nuggets in the playoffs’ series after two poor games. Gordon after winning the game for his team was visibly shaken from what just transpired. He shared his thoughts on the clutch moment.

While describing the series of events, Aaron Gordon said, “Joker was trying to get in his bag with the Sombor Shuffle. He’s made shots like that before. He shot it in enough time that it gave us a chance to rebound it. I’m just trying to clean up everything on the glass. That was a crazy game, it was tough.”

The Denver Nuggets had the game in their hands after a brilliant performance in the first three quarters. Their third quarter perform was the best of the day as the Nuggets led the 12 minutes by 35-17. During that phase, the visitors had a lead of 22 points. However, that was gone by the final stages of the game.

The LA Clippers went on a 32-9 run that brought the game at a level with just a couple of minutes left. With the game tied at 99, Jokic took a shot from beyond the arch. However, the opportunity was on the cusp of getting wasted as the shot was missing the bucket trajectory.

But to make a clutch play, Aaron Gordon was right under the basket. He made a jump, picked up the ball and made a buzzer beater dunk to win it all. As soon as the ball went in, Gordon ran all the way to the court and towards the Nuggets bench.

Another referee controversy has swept the headline of the post game. LA Clippers were not happy with the sequence of events in the last part of the game. The call on Aaron Gordon’s buzzer beater is being questioned by fans and analysts alike.

The officials took a couple of minutes to carefully look at the game winner shot. Doubts emerged if Gordon had the ball in his hands when the clock hit the zero mark. It was a close call by the officials, who later allowed the dunk. The Clippers have now lost their advantage as the Nuggets level the series 2-2 going into Colorado.
