Super Bowl LIX was one of the biggest surprises we’ve seen in recent years. We saw the Chiefs take on the Eagles for the Super Bowl trophy and a lot was on the line here, especially for the Chiefs. The media from all over the world wanted to see Mahomes and the Chiefs three-peat. They even had three-peat trademark bought from Pat Riley. However, this is what we say. You never know, you never know which team may catch fire and it was certainly not Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs today.
The Eagles beat the Chiefs so bad that it was difficult to watch. They were held scoreless until the very end of the third quarter and the Chiefs looked like they had absolutely no answer for the Eagles’ defense in particular. The game even left NFL legend, Tom Brady, in complete shock as he must have never expected such a lackluster performance from the Chiefs. So this also makes one thing official. Mahomes is not the GOAT. At least not yet. To have the Eagles as the underdogs and for them to do that kind of a damage, tells you everything you need to know.
Many believed that Saquon Barkley would be the most essential piece for the Eagles but that was not the case. The Chiefs played excellent defense to prevent the run game . However, Jalen Hurts went berserk on the Chiefs and helped his team win in ways, Mahomes just could not. So let’s break down what happened in this year’s Super Bowl.

Mahomes, for the first time in his career, looked like he was in a rush with no composer whatsoever. It was all because of the Eagles’ defense. The pass rushers did their jobs and that is an understatement. Their size and height, which many disregarded, played a huge role in the contest. Sacks after sacks, we were not even sure if it was the same QB who won in back-to-back years.
On the offensive side of the field, The Eagles put on a show as well. The Chiefs are well known for their top notch defense and while they contained Barkley, they forgot about the other offensive players. A.J Brown played a massive role in their win. Jack Elliot delivered when they needs him the most as he made all of his field goals. Even Cooper DeJean, a rookie, showed out and scored on a pick 6.
Every player on the roster, did their jobs. Hence they are the winners.
The Eagles just won their Second Super Bowl in their franchise history. They finally got their revenge and in the most spectacular fashion. The final score was 40-22 and the game was over by the end of the second quarter. The Eagles learned from their past, added some great pieces, and got what they wanted most desperately.

| Category | Jalen Hurts | Patrick Mahomes |
| Passing Yards | 221 yards | 227 yards |
| Passing touchdowns | 2 | 3 |
| No. of times sacked | 1 | 5 |
| Interceptions thrown | 1 | 2 |
| Lost Fumbles | 0 | 1 |
| Rushing yards and Touchdowns | 72 yards and 1 Touchdown | 25 yards and 0 Touchdowns |
This is a perfect example of how stats do not show what exactly happened in the game. Most of Mahomes’ stats shown were achieved once the Eagles had the game well in their hands. Everyone on the planet thought the Chiefs would three-peat and they were all wrong. So for now, three-peat is still something that no team has ever achieved.

It is now a great time to also discuss the greatness of Jalen Hurts. The fans and the media scrutinized him two years ago and now they should return the same kind of energy but with love this time. The fanbase, players, coaching staff, and the rest of the organization all deserve a tonne of praise for the kind of effort that was shown today. Our final message? Congrats Philadelphia!

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
