Stephen Curry’s 30 Magic: No. 30 Reaches 30th after surpassing Barkely in the list of NBA scoring leaders

Stephen Curry leads Warriors to a victory over Celtics

The Golden State Warriors led by Stephen Curry secured a statement victory on Wednesday. Going into the game as massive underdogs, the Warriors recorded a 118-112 on the road against the Celtics.

Curry led the charge as he dropped 27 points on the night. In doing so, he also moved ahead in the all-time scoring list of the NBA. That said, let’s take a deeper look at Curry’s milestone.

Stephen Curry surpasses Charles Barkley for the 30th spot in the list of NBA all-time scoring list

In the third quarter of the game between the Warriors and Celtics, Curry registered his 23,747th career point. As the ball passed through the net, the Warriors No.30 passed NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley in the league’s all-time scoring list.

The milestone is even more significant because of Barkley’s constant criticism of the Warriors. Barkley has long criticized the team during Curry’s tenure. Despite, having the advantage of four NBA championships to Barkley’s zero, the Warriors superstar now also holds individual bragging rights.

Good outings for Andrew Wiggins and Buddy Hield as Warriors see off defending champions Celtics

Golden State Warriors victory over the Boston Celtics cannot be attributed to just Stephen Curry. The 2022 Finals MVP was accompanied by Andrew Wiggins and Buddy Hield.

Wiggins scored 16 points and recorded two rebounds. On the other hand, the new Warriors star scored 16 points along with six rebounds and one assist. With their victory over the Celtics, the Warriors have now moved to 7-1 this season.

The Warriors will be on the road once again as they take on the undefeated Clevland Cavaliers. The game on Friday night will set out to be a true test for the 2022 NBA Champions as they look to break the Cavaliers’ undefeated streak.
