Steph Curry is turning heads again, but this time it’s not for his three-pointers. The Golden State Warriors guard showed off a noticeably stronger physique during an offseason workout, sparking fresh buzz ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

Despite turning 37 in March and preparing for his 17th NBA season, Steph Curry looked more muscular than ever in a recent photo. The four-time champion averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 70 games last season, continuing to build on his Hall of Fame resume.

On Wednesday, Impact Fitness Foundation shared an Instagram post of Curry carrying heavyweight plates across the gym floor. Fans immediately reacted to his build and muscle tone, noting the veteran guard’s dedication to training even after another grueling season.

Steph Curry, listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, could be slightly heavier when the new season begins. The added size is expected to help him handle the physical challenges of the NBA schedule, especially after missing the second round of last year’s playoffs with a hamstring injury.

Steph Curry Focuses on Strength After Playoff Disappointment

The Warriors are coming off a disappointing Western Conference semifinals exit to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Steph Curry has spoken about the importance of both physical and mental reset.

“Our last 35 games and the playoffs felt like a full-on sprint,” Curry told NBC Sports Bay Area in July at the American Century Championship. “Right now, it’s about everybody taking advantage of an unfortunately longer offseason to get refreshed and rejuvenated, mentally and physically.”

That longer break has given Steph Curry and the Warriors time to regroup. With his improved strength and focus, the guard is signaling that the team’s competitive edge will come from preparation as they enter a new campaign.

In August 2024, Curry signed a one-year, $62.6 million extension, keeping him under contract with Golden State through the 2026-27 season. The deal reaffirmed his central role as the franchise centerpiece and one of the league’s highest-paid players.
