“Somebody got to check on Scottie”- Draymond Green reacts to Scottie Pippen’s jab on Michael Jordan

Warriors veteran Draymond Green reacted to NBA legend Scottie Pippen’s jab on Michael Jordan on his podcast.

In the 1990s, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were considered the deadliest duo in the NBA. Together, they led the Chicago Bulls to six consecutive NBA titles, dominating the league and forming one of the most successful partnerships in basketball history. On the court, they were the perfect Yin and Yang. But off the court, their relationship was much more complicated.

Pippen recently made headlines with bold comments on his former teammate during an appearance on the PBD Podcast. When asked how many titles he would have won on a different team, Pippen confidently said, “I still get my six. Three, three, I thought you knew. … [Jordan] may be somewhere with LeBron [James], two, three, somewhere. I feel like I’m going to get my six.”

Pippen’s comments sparked reactions from NBA fans on social media, but one of the most vocal critics was Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green.

On his own podcast, The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green expressed concern over what he called “strange” comments from the six-time NBA champion.

“What’s wrong with Scottie, man?” Green asked. “Somebody got to check on Scottie, man. I grew up watching those [Bulls] teams. I’m a big Scottie fan. I don’t know what Scottie going through, but I send my love.”

Green also warned that Pippen’s recent comments could harm his legacy. “When you start making comments like Scottie has been lately, people start to remember you for those comments and not necessarily for being Scottie Pippen,” Green added. “And I don’t like that.”

Notably, this is not the first time Pippen has taken a jibe at Michael Jordan. Recently in an interview with Patrick Bet-David, the 59-year-old revealed that he and Jordan were “never great friends.”

When asked if he and Jordan would ever reconcile, Pippen said,

“I don’t know, I just think Michael is a very difficult person to deal with. I played with him for years, so I know that. When it’s time for you to move in your direction, then go in your direction. Don’t sit there and try to procrastinate or stretch it — that the relationship is not where it was or not what it used to be, and it’s never gonna be the same. So why try and make something out of nothing or try to make something that was never there… [Michael was a] great teammate, but we just never were great friends.”
