Skip Bayless Warns WNBA Amid Caitlin Clark’s Constant Physical Struggles

Caitlin Clark has played only 13 out of 24 games this WNBA season.

Renowned columnist Skip Bayless has sent a warning to the WNBA amid the constant physical and mental struggles of Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark. Notably, Clark has been out with her third injury of the season. The reigning Rookie of the Year has played only 13 out of 25 games this WNBA season after having missed three weeks with a left quad strain and a left groin injury.

Needless to say, her struggles have had a severe impact on Fever’s campaign, where they have managed to win only 13 out of 25 games. Amidst this, Bayless has issued a severe warning for the league and said that Clark needs to get healthy on a physical and mental level. It is because she plays a huge role in gaining the viewership, and during her absence, fans might lose interest.

Bayless stated, “The WNBA has better get Caitlin Clark physically and mentally healthy or risk sliding right back off the national map. I’m sorry but I’m just being honest: I find it difficult to watch WNBA games without her on the floor.”

Skip Bayless Calls Out WNBA Revenue Split After Ratings See Dip Without Caitlin Clark

The Basketball analyst also slammed the WNBA after the WNBA All-Star Game saw a dip in its ratings. After the ratings were out, Bayless didn’t hold himself back and pointed out how the former Iowa star has been an influential parameter in the WNBA’s ratings. He tweeted, “WNBA All-Star Game ratings weirdly took extra long to be released. Without Caitlin Clark: 2.19. With Caitlin Clark last year: a record 3.44. PAY THESE WOMEN WHAT THEY’RE OWED BECAUSE OF CAITLIN CLARK!”

Notably, the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game received a total of 2.19 million views, which is way less than last year’s views of 3.44 million. Needless to say, the absence of Caitlin Clark played a key role as the ratings crashed, who was out of the game due to her groin injury.
